That's a mighty big chair and a mighty slow man! Here's a release from the Steelers about Wolf's big event! Come out and have some fun and support a terrific cause. Race Applications now available PITTSBURGH - Former Steelers offensive lineman and current broadcaster Craig Wolfley will chair the 18th Annual Gatorade/Steelers 5K Race, Fitness Walk and Kids' Kickoff Run during Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 9:30 a.m. at Heinz Field. The race will be part of the Steelers' Kickoff Week festivities at Heinz Field, including the annual Coors Light Kickoff Rib and Music Festival. Online registration, presented by Heinz, is available by visiting Gatorade/Steelers 5K Race. Applications are also available by calling (412) 697-7713 or by emailing 5K@steelers.com. The race, which benefits the Art Rooney Scholarship Fund, is a competitive event sanctioned by USA Track and Field with a 3.1-mile level course on the North Side highlighted by a spectacular finish on the warning track in Heinz Field.
Gatorade is the title sponsor of the race. Major sponsors include Giant Eagle, KDKA-TV, WDVE-FM and Dick's Sporting Goods. The Art Rooney Scholarship Fund was established in memory of the late founder of the Steelers who died in August of 1988 after living most of his life on the North Side. A $12,000 scholarship in Art Rooney's name is presented annually to a graduating senior from each of the three high schools on the North Side — Oliver, Perry and North Catholic. Each school nominates three students who have been accepted to college and are in need of financial aid.
Have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend, Tunch

We interviewed Steelers Defensive Line Coach John Mitchell on our 3rd show and thoroughly enjoy and respect the man. Check out this brief clip - we think you'll enjoy him too. Mitch was the first African American to play football at Alabama under legendary coach Paul Bear Bryant. He's done well for himself and is well deserving of his success.
As Labor Day approaches, we were thinking that we've had some pretty good jobs in sports - first as players and now cushy muckety-muck media folk. Here's an interesting old USA Today article that lists the "10 Worst Jobs in Sports." Here they are: No. 10: Mascot No. 9: Soigneur No. 8: NFL special teams player No. 7: Yankees general manager No. 6: MLB clubhouse attendant No. 5: Iditarod sled dog No. 4: Urine-sample collector No. 3: Rodeo bullfighter No. 2: Sparring partner No. 1: Horse racing groom Read the full story to see why these jobs are ranked, but let us know what you think. Do you agree, disagree, would add/subtract some jobs? We'll post back with our own thoughts later in the week after you've had some time to think about it.
Here's Max Starks showing the proper etiquette and creative technique in showing off one's Super Bowl ring!
We're proud to say that our first interview on our new TV Show was with Steelers #86, Co-MVP,and MVP of Super Bowl XL Hines Ward. Hines is a great player and great human being too. Here's a quick clip (of a longer interview) of Hines talking about his meeting with President George Bush and his new Hines Ward Helping Hands Foundation which helps bi-racial children in Korea. Hines also received our very first "Locker Room Leader" award sponsored by Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge.
Well, we got three shows "in the can" now and we're having a lot of fun with our new Locker Room TV Show on Comcast's CN8 (Channel 188 - Pittsburgh) and On Demand too (Your Town - Local Sports folder). So how's it going? You tell us. Our first three shows were recorded at Steelers Training Camp at St. Vincent College n Latrobe, PA and we've had lots of great guests such as the Steelers Hines Ward, Kevin Colbert (Director of Football Operations), Deshea Townsend, Charlie Batch, Max Starks, Bryant McFadden, Ike Taylor and John Mitchell (Defensive Line Coach), plus a lot of other guests too. We even had Coach Bill Cowher heckle us! From time to time, we'll post pictures and brief video clips of our Shows. So, if you haven't tuned in yet, click here for a little taste of what you can expect from Wolf during one of his fashionably late signature entrances. As we always say, "If you thought Seinfeld was a show about nothing, you ain't seen nothing yet until you tune-in to In the Locker Room with Tunch and Wolf." T&W
Training Camp Shows
Well, we have two Steelers training camp shows "in the can" as they say and will be at St. Vincent College again today and maybe one more time next week. In a day or two, we'll be posting a few pictures from our Shows and a few thoughts about training camp to date so check back soon. If you have any thoughts for a story segment, post away. Have a great one!
Hi Locker Room Fans! We really appreciate all the emails we received from you about the fact you were sorry to hear the news of our radio show ending on July 30th. We were too becuase we had a lot of fun with you, but the demands the show put on our family time and other commitments - especially Tunch - made it difficult to continue with our demanding Steelers schedule. But, here's some good news we hope you like! Just a few days after our last radio show, and with a little help from our friends at Comcast here in Pittsburgh, we moved our radio show to television and made it into a one hour weekly sports magazine show! You can see it every Thursday on Channel CN8 (Channel 188 - Pittsburgh) and at your convenience On Demand and already have two shows in the can! We know our faces are much beter suited to radio, but we're giving TV a shot and having a blast! Hines Ward was our first guest! Plus, we've talked with Steelers' Director of Football Operations Kevin Colbert, Dr. Tanya Hagen of UPMC Sports Medicine on the effects of dehydration, held our first tailgate tip segment with Kate Gabriel of Over the Plate (it wouldn't be a true Locker Room Show without talking FOOD), met with Charlie Batch and Deshea Townsend, re-introduced the 60's Steelerettes and talked with Dodo Canterna the former AD at St. Vincent College who helped get the Steelers to hold their training camp on their SVC's college campus. Circle back here often for pictures from our shows and news about future segments. We sure hope you tune in, tell your friends and family and let us know what you like, don't like and more. Tell us who you'd like to see us interview and topics you'd like us to discuss. The show will be strong with Steelers coverage, but we'll be covering Pitt and other major pro sports, college sports, high school sports and general fitness, health and wellness related issues too! Post your thoughts, comments and story ideas here and please tune in! P.S.: Click here to read a press release we recently issued.
